When West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project (WOEIP) approached us for a website they were an established organization.
WOEIP was looking for a website and a web site designer that could deliver the following:
- take online donations immediately
- update easily in-house
- a bold graphic design that matched their bold approach and showed off the neighborhood favorably
- performed well on search engines
- lots of well organized information about their scientific research and community involvement
- get a site up quickly and within budget

WOEIP Co-Director Brian Beveridge is a prolific writer and had much of the content on hand. We worked together to plan the site navigation and content as well as the look and feel. He had a strong logo and a design concept he developed a while back. While he worked up the content, we handled the design and programming. The site is optimized for their locale…Oakland, Port of Oakland and West Oakland and most importantly for many relevant terms related to their specialized work on air quality, particulate matter, air quality monitoring, truck pollution and community research and 25 important terms in all.
The Full Orbit Web and Marketing team of Karen Nierlich, internet marketing consultant, Allison Rolls, web site designer and programmer, and Udette Flesch, project manager, were able to do all this in 4 weeks time for an end of the year fundraiser for WOEIP. The organization received several end of 2010 donations on the new site as soon as soon as it was launched.
Thanks WOEIP for letting us do you proud! You have a distinctive and comprehensive site for an original, hardworking and effective non-profit.
